Longevity and Retirement Income Planning

Full Show Notes:

Why Your Retirement Plan Should Include Ice Cream

What immediately comes to mind when you think about retirement? Trips to Europe? Beaches? Cruises? We all have different preferences when it comes to retirement. But we can all agree that we want it to be sweet and enjoyable – almost like eating ice cream. And it might sound silly, but asking yourself how you’ll go out for ice cream in old age can shed light on many aspects of planning a happy retirement. At the base of it all, you need freedom, mobility, and some money. So your goal is to maintain a high quality of life throughout retirement. And this can sometimes stretch long into extreme old age. So as you think about where you want to live in retirement, do an audit to determine if the place ticks all the boxes of everything you’d like to experience. Many retirees make the mistake of living in areas with limited options of travel and leisure.
